I find it odd that there was no reference to the movie - in theatre - scene from Diner. A classic on its own, but a front runner, in my mind, for this segment. Yes , I know the theme was bad movies, yet the PopCorn thread was apparent throughout. Also Diner was a great movie, hence not included here but, the PopCorn. How could I have missed it - Diner is indeed a classic, and the popcorn scene is a high point in the film. I also enjoyed the “Don’t touch my records” scene, and the “Colts Quiz” angle. And, you’re right about the list you linked to - there are some really obscure movies, that nobody’s ever heard of.
