My son lives in Evanston, Ill the home town of the NOrthwestern Wildcats, and thus opponents of the Univ. of Iowa and Caitlin Clarke. Going to the women's basketball games was an affordable and fun way to introduce his young son to basketball. BUT, NOT WHEN CAITLAN WAS IN TOWN - ticket prices soared into the thee figures! Internet notes that average ticket price to watch CAitlin break the record is $500. Hope that Caitlin will somehow reap the financial benefits of her talent.
You’ve gotta love those droopy wool socks! Kind of a trend setter considering the socks that surrounded him in the photo. He set the trend for the future leg warming Flashdance era…. Very impressive.
Thanks for a great article….
I don’t know, “Can-win Caitlin”, “Crankin Caitlin”, “Make-in Caitlin”???
Whoa baby it's bracketology time. I was a bracket crazy girl but have since have slowed down my obsession. I once won a pool! I am still the trivia queen and can usually out trivia any man , woman, or savant. I still watch but not with as much gusto and mania. I cornered Ray Meyer once on State Street to bemoan the season ending. Best question to win a bet on - how many times did Syracuse win the final four? I always win that one

Ah, surge pricing! I think she’s getting some $$ in NIL deals, but the universities are the bigger winners here.

You got me, Gail - I’m a Jayhawk, so I don’t know Syracuse’s history - how many?
Love it! I appreciate your editorial spunk!
