Speaking as a quilter, Hamilton, MO is a mecca for the Missouri Star Quilt Co, rivaled only by Hancock's in Paducah, KY. Both towns feature a quilt museum and quilting events throughout the year. Yeah, the worlds largest spool of thread is a gimmick, but both places are for serious quilters. A warning to Rule of Three staff - if you plant to do site visits to either place please be warned that during an event you will be overrun with postmenopausal women rushing among fabric bolts!
