I read this article thinking it was going to be about Valerie Percy. It saddens me that her image and memory is basically a rung in the ladder for a writers self promotion.

I had forgotten that we had to ring the doorbell 6 times. Great memories of growing up in Kenilworth. Such a tragic loss for the Percy family.

Well written. So neat to see all the special places we went. A swing back in time is never a bad thing.. Thank you for the trip down memory lane. I do remember the murder and always think about it when we drive past the address.

The Percy’s were friends of my parents and Mark Percy was friends with 2 of my brothers, Johnny and Tommy, Mark was supposed to spend the weekend at our house that night , i was only 7 at the time of her murder but I have many older siblings and remember that sad scary time in Kenilworth. Thanks for some great memories of Kenilworth, sure was a fabulous place to grow up!

My grandfather was friends with Chuck Percy. He actually built his tennis court that sat in front of the property right on Sheridan Road. I remember this like it was yesterday oh, because it was such a horrific thing. The saddest part is oh, there was never any closure. Rest in peace, Valerie
